flowers and soap, soap and flowers

There are things that I write here sometimes, publish, and then go back and delete. Every one of three posts usually has ghost text. It's weird how I don't feel like writing anything anymore.

I've been sick all week, but finally better. Just a cold. For those of you monitoring my tick bite (and I love you for it) you'll be glad to know I sent the little sucka off to be tested. A tick in a zippy bag in a box through the mail. Such a strange trajectory for our little ectoparisite.

Lately I've been quietly fed up with the wedding industry in NYC. Amy and I delivered a small wedding yesterday that I hope to share with you soon here - lots of daffodils - anyway...this couple did things on their own and I think it was a pretty fun time. I probably just need a vacation - and OH SNAP - taking one Son!! Eric and I are off all of next week. What should we do?

sorry you're feeling that way. i feel in a slump myself. or something. don't know if that's the right word.
go to maine. walk on the beach and eat a lobster roll and milk shake. it'll be quiet up there still.

I really appreciated how they were were the ones setting everything up beforehand but in a non- "i stayed up every night for the past year hand embroidering dinner napkins with mustaches because we both loove mustaches" kind of way.

You should probably come to Vermont. There aren't many flowers budding yet, so you won't be reminded of work, but there are lots of delicious cheeses to eat, lakes and mountains and forests to walk around or up or in, and I've never seen a tick here.

Road trip up the coast of MA and Maine! Take the ferry to Nantucket, go to Portland and Bar Harbor. I'm doing this in two months and can't wait!

This winter seemed extra rough, I know it's taking me a long time to take off my crankypants. . . even when it's nice outside.

I hope you enjoy your vacation!!

Baby Girl, I wish you would come to Providence. It's a great walking city and you and Eric could stay with us. Besides, we could all fly to Martha's Vineyard (no jackasses there yet); Block Island (see note re: Martha's Vineyard); or even Acadia (a bit cold, but scenic).

Private charter and clam boils all the way! Now where else you gonna get that??? XXOO

Come to San Francisco and see all the millions of wildflowers we have in bloom! There are literally blankets of blue forget-me-knots in the open space preserves ... it makes you cry it's so perfectly beautiful.
